What do the textbooks say?
According to a 2011 census, only 35% of Romania's population used the internet, with more than 75% users in the urban area. Thus school textbooks remain the primary educational vector of the Romanian society, through which we can aspire to transmit the values of an inclusive society.
We analyzed middle school and high school textbooks in light of reflecting and teaching students the principles of nondiscrimination and social inclusion.
